Description
Do you want your students to review continuously for the upcoming standardized testing with out them noticing?
Here's how! Create Social Studies "clubs" the attached "qualifiers" allow students to qualify to be in club. These are actually open answered tests, but don't tell your students. I tell the students that they can retake the "qualifier" as many times as they want to, and the first person to qualify into the club becomes the president. The students must get 9 out of the 10 questions correct on the qualifier to be in the club. Once the club has a president, the president is in charge of checking other student's qualifiers for the particular club.
If a student qualifies into each club then they are considered a sixers (there are 6 clubs). Sixers receive special awards at the end of the year and may play different PASS review games while their peers try to qualify for clubs.
These qualifiers focus on American History standards from the Native Americans until the Civil War.
Enjoy!
