"These Boom cards were great to use with a small group in my classroom. They need a lot of practice and reinforcement activities and Boom cards are great for that!"

Description

This Boom Cards™ deck targets the basic skills of starting a conversation: thinking about the other person, choosing a topic, using a greeting, and then asking a question or making a comment. This is perfect for adolescents and young teen students who have social communication challenges. Students are presented with hypothetical peers and community members, and given basic info about each one. They answer multiple choice questions about appropriate topics, greetings, questions, and comments. This is a NO PREP resource!

For older teens and young adults, please see my other Boom Cards™ deck: Starting Conversations - Teens and Young Adults.

The PDF that you download will include a clickable picture to redeem your deck on the Boom Learning website. You will be prompted to sign in or create a free account. This deck will then automatically be added to your library for use on the Boom Learning website or free app.

Note: You MUST have an internet connection in order to use Boom Cards™.

The real pictures and realistic scenarios helped my students make connections, while distance learning makes that more challenging
