Description
A fun way to learn PowerPoint and to introduce the world of animation.
- Note that if you plan to use this for the Online only version of PowerPoint, some of the functions may not work. This PPT has been updated to reflect Office 365 Offline version and older versions of PowerPoint.
Students will begin by creating avatars, and then try to replicate them using their own intuition and the skills learned within the PowerPoint.
Students will then progress to building the body and then finally the animation.
It's important to let students play around with the program to see what works and what does not.
What's Included:
- Rubrics with California State Standards. The rubrics could also be used on their own.
- Skills practice and instruction for the creation of their avatar and animation.
- Examples of animations, which can be used as grading examples against the rubric.
My students have loved this project and even work on it on their own time, without prompting. It is a fun way to explore the tools within PowerPoint and realize the POWER of the program.
This project could take about two to three weeks, working at 3/4.5 hours per week.
