Please note: I used very basic materials like cardboard, small cups, string, fishing line, tape, hole punches etc. I did not have my students drop anything on a target. The entire lesson took about 3 days. They learned so much about the engineering process!
This book is excellent for getting students to document their process and thinking. It actually contains two books...one book includes sentence frames and a word bank for ESL students. The book follows their thoughts from ask, image, plan improve, and create.
