Description
These 26 digital task cards on the BOOM Learning website cover the six steps of the scientific method. The students practice the correct order of the steps of the scientific method and identify what each step looks like in an experiment.
The six steps of the scientific method in this Boom Deck are as follows:
- Make an observation and ask a question about it
- Research if needed
- Make a hypothesis
- Test the hypothesis in an experiment
- Record and analyze the data
- Write a conclusion to share the results
There are 26 cards in this deck. The cards gradually increase in difficulty. The first card is an information card that reviews the steps of the scientific method. Cards 2-7 are multiple choice and ask students, in order, for the steps of the scientific method. Cards 8-14 are multiple choice and ask for a one-word summary of each of the steps. Cards 15-19 are multiple choice and have a short description of a step that students must identify correctly. Cards 20-25 require students to read a cookie experiment and type a number to indicate what step is being described. Card 26 has students drag and drop the six steps of the scientific method into the correct order.
These digital task cards work on laptops, desktops, Smart Boards, Chromebooks, tablets, and any other mobile devices that can access the Internet. They are self-grading and allow you to track student progress. No printing is needed.
