Description
This is a PowerPoint I created to demonstrate the sticky note strategy for close reading. I used it successfully to teach students how to use sticky notes to mark up their novels (the ones that do not belong to them). It includes sentence starters, symbols, standards, and other tips for teaching and modeling this close reading strategy. There are some slides that are specific to my class, but as always, you can edit it to meet your needs.

This product did have 2 valuable slides that applied to my class needs. There were 5 slides out of 14 that were just lists of CC or state standards. The product is fine, but not a good value compared to most items on teachers pay teachers.
Oops 4 that talk about CC stuff or Colorado standards. I also took out the slide where you say you will demonstrate to the class. That's where I got 5. However, my primary issue was with the cost to useful slide ratio. I still feel like there were only 3 or 4 slides with any "meat". High cost per slide-- just something to consider. I would have been ok at half the price charged.
I did mention in the description that it had some slides that pertained only to my class. Also, I made it completely editable for anyone who buys it. I'm sorry if you didn't find it of value; however, most teachers appreciate having the standards on the product. Also, there are only 3 slides that have CC or state standards. I'm not sure where you got 5 from.
