Students will practice making purchases of items at a store. Students will begin by finding the prices of each item a customer wants to buy, then add the prices together. next they will subtract the total price from their money. Afterwards they will use digital icons to calculate the change.

Differentiated slides are used with simpler problems. Students will first decide if they have enough money to buy each item and then calculate the change or how much more money they will need. On the following page students move digital icons to make exact change for the item.
