Knowing text structure enables our student to summarize what they read. In addition, the Common Core expects that our students determine the main idea of a text; recount the key details and explain how they support the main idea. Being able to identify the beginning, middle and end of a story is key to summarizing and recognizing the main ideas. This mini-book introduces text structure and includes a word search.
