Description
In this math enrichment project students choose two numbers and compare them mathematically using the following terms and concepts:
- Prime or composite
- Factor and greatest common factor
- Multiple and least common multiple
- Prime factorization
- Proper fractions, improper fractions, and mixed numbers
- Order of operations
The Comparing Numbers Project was created as a poster project, but you could have students create a Prezi, a Power Point or Google Slides presentation, a flipbook, or something else entirely. You will find a rubric appropriate for a poster project and a more generic rubric that could be used for any colorful and creative project.
