In the Jungle Rangers Engineering Relay, students become multi-challenge engineers as they rotate through three rapid-fire engineering challenges in a single action-packed flex week session. Set inside the Jungle Rangers narrative theme, this flex-week sprint challenges Grade 2 students to apply their full quarter of structural engineering skills — building towers, spanning bridges, and launching paper airplanes — in a timed relay format that rewards speed, precision, and teamwork.

What Students Will Do

* Complete three distinct engineering challenges in a relay format: freestanding tower, spanning bridge, and paper airplane distance toss

* Apply structural engineering skills from across the quarter under timed conditions

* Record individual challenge results and contribute to a cumulative team score

* Reflect on which engineering skills transferred most effectively to the relay format

* Celebrate the full Q4 arc with a competitive, student-energizing finale
