Description
Student Self-Assessments/reflections are essential in students' learning of content especially after assessments are given. This allows students to think about why they struggled, what they did to overcome that challenge, and what they will do next time to show mastery.
This self assessment allows students to:
- reflect on how easily they were able to answer the question
- identify the words or concepts they knew or didn't know
- rewrite the questions in their own words
- identify missed question(s)
- space to retry question(s)
- select one or more problem solving strategies they used in their retry
- self-reflection after the retry
What is included?
• 5 pages ready to print with spaces for student name, date, assessment title, and subject
• Clear instructions for students
• Color-coded system for self-reflection
• Sufficient student work space
• Problem-solving strategies in the form of a checklist
What subjects can be used with this document?
Originally, the document was designed for Algebra 1 in Grade 9 or 10 with a focus on 4 Multiple Choice or Short Response questions. However, it can be easily tailored to the needs of any subject area or grade. It simply depends on the assessment that was given. Pages 2-3 and pages 4-5 are repeated for for assessments with 4 questions (in the event a student did not get any questions correct). However, it can be deleted if not needed.
