Use student-led conferences to increase parent engagement and student motivation in your classroom today!
Students use the invitations provided to invite their families to school for a student-led conference. Students then use the forms provided to record their current strengths and goals in each subject area chosen. There are also places for students to record how their families can help them be even more successful in each area(behavior, character education, math, writing, reading), independent and instructional text levels, and pre-made areas to work on (decoding, fluency, comprehension, fiction, nonfiction, stamina, engagement, sentence fluency, word choice, organization, and more!), as well as blank forms for students to write which areas they are currently working on.
Student-led conferences are proven to lead to more parent involvement during family-teacher conferences. Kids also are more likely to be engaged and motivated to improve when they evaluate themselves and set appropriate goals.
