Description
This .doc file leads students through reflecting on their performance for a unit test. In the first section - data analysis - students look at whole-class data (must be provided by the teacher) for the three most missed questions and reflect upon why those questions. In the second section - error analysis - students look at their individual results, analyzing what caused them to miss or answer questions correctly. Finally, they relate their individual results to the class trends.
I give students a chance to boost their low test scores by completing an error analysis on unit tests. You might offer a certain percentage increase or half credit for each missed question. Whatever works for you and your students!
