Description

Increase student productivity with the Time Box time management strategy!

This template will encourage your students to plan out their day after school in an ordered way without overwhelming them. This strategy is used in the "adult" world, often in business and technology fields, to ensure that deadlines are met and procrastination is minimized - meaning your students will be learning a valuable life skill.

The time box is very easy to use, and intuitive too:

First, students "brain dump" everything they have to do after school - from homework, to hanging out with friends, to household chores, it should all go here.

Then, from the brain dumped list, students will choose the 3 most important things they would like to accomplish. Maybe they want to finish taking notes on an article for an essay, or finish 20% of a painting they're working on - or maybe they have a few chores to do and just want to make sure they make time for that!

Finally, students fill in their time box, planning out the day with their main goals and any additional goals they'd like to include.

If you encourage your students to be realistic about their goals, breaking them down into manageable pieces and being realistic about how long they will take to accomplish, this strategy will motivate students to get more done and find more time for both fun and their responsibilities.
