Description

This simple writing process chart helps both you and your students keep track of where they are in the writing process. This is especially helpful if you have a writer's workshop (they all might be a different stages, etc) or something similar, though it can definitely be used if all students are working on the same writing assignment at a given time.

I like to laminate these or print on cardstock, then use clothespins with student names/ class numbers on them. It's a great management tool and visual aid.

This chart includes: Prewriting, Rough Draft, Peer Conference, Revise/Edit, Teacher Conference, Publish, and Share. I know every classroom is different! With that in mind, I've included two 'publish' pages, so choose the one that best fits your class before printing both! Likewise, if you have a more structured process, you can print the revise/edit page more than once.
