Often students put time and effort into preparing for assessments but don't necessarily see marks to reflect that. Help coach students to use direct their time and effort more effectively to increase understanding and retention. Use the Student Worksheet together with the poster. Questions ask them to reflect on their current study skills and to answer questions found in the poster.

As a teacher, I have found that my students have often not been taught how to study for an exam. While the final grade they get isn't the most important thing, knowing how to learn, understand a concept deeply and retain that information is needed for anything they want to learn, whether it be academic or otherwise.
