Are you looking for a math center students can do independently that also develops their ability to recognize quantities 1-10 without counting? This resource will do just that! With three familiar games, War, Go Fish, and Memory Match, students can apply and practice their subitizing skills through playing cards with counting fingers, dice, tens frames, base ten blocks, and dominoes.

Each set of cards are coded with an icon that matches the directions card for easy sorting if cards get mixed up.

When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
