This ready-to-use PowerPoint is 10 problems involving the subtraction of integers and "adding the opposite". Students are paired together and need the use of a dry erase board (or some other method to display their problem to the teacher once finished), and 2 different colored dry erase markers. Partner #1 is responsible for copying the problem onto the dry erase board and making sure calculations are completed correctly. Partner #2 uses the different colored dry erase marker and shows "adding the opposite" and the answer. Answers are included on each slide to display after all students have completed answering the problem. Midway through, the partners switch roles. This activity can be used after initial instruction by the teacher and to solidify the understanding of the subtraction of integers.
