This pack was created as an introduction to subtraction & Subtraction Smash was used a center during guided math for our subtraction unit! This was a class FAVORITE!

This pack includes:

- Subtraction Anchor Chart

- Subtraction Task Cards

- Subtractions Smash Recording Sheets

- Subtraction Follow Up Worksheet

This is how I used this pack to introduce my firsties to subtraction:

- Introduce subtraction with anchor chart

- Teacher will demonstrate "taking away" with playdough

- Allow students to practice subtraction with playdough and task cards

- Follow up with subtraction worksheet, relating the "smashing" of the playdough to crossing out circles

- Keep the subtraction playdough task cards & recording sheet as a unit long math center :)
