Description

Looking for a FUN and ENGAGING way to teach subtraction using math strategies? Your students will LOVE to play Jeopardy to learn or review single digit subtraction. This activity contains the following methods: number line, strike out, ten frame, counting on hands, and mental math. With 25 pictured questions and answers, this game can be used in various ways: whole group setting, small intervention groups, virtual or in-person learning. Engaging, no-prep, easy and fun!

  • After teaching single digit subtraction, play this game to reinforce what your students have learned!

  • Similarly to the Jeopardy game we all know, students will choose a category and an amount. Questions increase with difficulty as the point value increases. If your group works well with competition, there is an option to track up to 5 team’s points on the Scoreboard Slide. The group with the most points wins!

  • This Jeopardy game is meant for beginner learners, but can be used for older students as a remediation tool

  • This activity contains SINGLE DIGIT numbers only.

  • Slides are editable if changes are wanted.

Have fun playing!
