This .zip file consists of two Smart Notebook presentations introducing and explaining subtraction with and without regrouping. I use it for third grade, but it would also be great for teaching second graders or reviewing with fourth graders.
Each lesson includes an explanation, guided practice, and independent practice. Challenge/algebraic questions are included in some lessons. Some lessons include links to appropriate BrainPops.

File 1- Relate addition and subtraction, subtraction patterns, explore regrouping in subtraction, subtracting whole numbers (with regrouping)
