Description

This product is great for first teaching subtraction with regrouping! It incorporates bitmoji's to increase engagement. I use the phrase "More on top, no need to stop" and "More on the floor, go next door to get some more". These slides break down problems by each step and include a number line for assistance.

Slides 1-11 - Teaching the skill of regrouping

Slides 12-29 - Reviewing how to regroup all together with 3 different problems

Slides 30-57 - 4 problems to try together with less assistance

Slides 58-76 - 6 problems to do on their own

I have students solve these problems on whiteboards and review each step as we go all together. Then there are 6 problems they can try on their own then review as a class.
