Description
Includes (13) thirteen pages. These activities are perfect to incorporate into your classroom this summer, Independence Day, and when studying the food groups/food pyramid. "I Spy" activities are a fun way to practice math skills with a holiday twist! These activities aren't just fluff! This activity encourages counting, making tally marks, problem solving, addition, subtraction, comparing numbers (greater than/less than/equal to), graphing, data analysis, and more! This is a great activity for early finishers, morning work, and sub sheets for when you need to call out.
Students will begin by using the "I Spy" page to tally and count the different pictures. They will use their data to create a bar graph on the template provided. Using the bar graph to help them visually compare the quantities, students will complete a subtraction page, addition page, and comparison page. These search and finds can be assigned as homework, or take-home work for Summer Break.
Students can color, circle or check the pictures as they find them. There is a space at the bottom of each worksheet to indicate how many pictures were found for each target. The "I Spy" page is available in a color version to help younger kids dilenate.
For my younger students, I have them circle each picture with a different colored crayon or marker. This helps to provide some visual support for counting the number of pictures for each target!
These sheets can be used during therapy sessions with mixed groups. The sheets can also be laminated for durability and used over and over again! This is a great activity to send home for practice with families during Winter/Spring break packets.
Works wonderfully also for Early Finishers, Centers, Activity Packs/Independent Work Packets, Busy Books, Worksheets, Morning Work, Sunday School Classes, and Subs Plans! This is completely no prep!
Keywords: 4th of July, Independence Day, summer break, summer vacation, sunshine, festival, travel, traveling, adventures, hobbies, outdoor activities, Memorial Day, camping, watermelon, strawberry, lemon, lime, apricot, plum, peach, pineapple, banana, orange, cherries, grapes, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, berries.
