First Grade Fam

I have been teaching in Central Florida for almost 5 years! I started in 3rd grade and moved to Kindergarten, First Grade for two years, and now am back in K! I absolutely LOVE teaching primary grades and all that comes with it. I plan on going back to school shortly to study curriculum and instruction.

My teaching style is to create a safe, calm, and comfortable learning community in which my students feel safe sharing, learning, and collaborating. I use data to drive my instruction and motivate my students to learn. I have a naturally calm demeanor which lends itself to my "mellow" teaching style. I want all students to feel comfortable and love coming to school every day. We are a FAMILY! :)

I grew up in MD and attended college at the University of Central Florida. I received my degree in Elementary Education in December of 2014 and began teaching immediately after.
