This Silabas mediales y finales (Middle and Ending Syllables) Spanish homework book. Practice Phoneme segmentation and phonics in Spanish. Segment words into syllables and write the missing syllable! Reread and blend the multisyllabic words. Choose the page that fits with the syllable a week you are practicing. 3 pages per consonant, a few have more! Answer sheets included for your English speaking sub! Keep your students working and engaged. Use with Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, Dual Language classrooms, & Homeschool students.
How to use this Spanish Practice book:
- The student writes in the middle or ending syllable that corresponds with the picture.
- Practice whole group segmenting and blending words we will be working on as a group. When we segment, we touch our head, shoulders, hips, knees and toes.
- Listen for the syllable of the week in each word. We re-segment the word and STOP on the syllable like "FREEZE TAG!" The kids love playing this and it helps them identify the syllable.
- Send the students off to their "CENTER rotation." If students forget the words, they ask 3 before me. This enables me to work on my center and focus on my students. :-)
- Send home for homework! Since they follow the same routine, the students don't need a lot of help at home (unless they have forgotten the word). All words are listed at the bottom of the page which makes it easy for subs to use as well!
