Description

Syllable Types Boom Cards® for decoding single and multisyllabic Words is an interactive digital resource that will allow students an opportunity to apply their knowledge of letter-sound correspondence and spelling patterns to decode and read multisyllabic words. The decoding activity implemented in this resource was inspired by the Orton Gillingham approach. This resource will help students learn or review six syllable types when reading passages and labeling words with the appropriate syllable. There are thirty-five digital task cards that are self checking and provides instant feedback.

Thank you Katrin! So glad to know that the resource was useful for your middle grade students. It’s important that students recognize syllables in words in order to decode them. Syllable types can be used for new instruction as well as remediation.
