Text Dependent Writing and responding to TDW prompts is not easy to teach. This product serves as an introduction to making inferences and/or analysis, which will not only lead to success on text dependent writing essays but also success in life!
The product includes an introductory slide show, provided as both a PowerPoint and Google Slides presentation so that you can choose the one you want to use.
The presentation is both engaging and practical as it will help you teach students what an inference or analysis is and what it is not. Activities woven into the presentation include links to pictures and videos. Your students will have fun as they learn!
In addition to the PowerPoint, a support document is included for the teacher. This document explains how to use the presentation and provides answers for the activities that are included.
There is also an additional activity provided in which students analyze Goldilocks and the bears in the story The Three Bears. A printable version of the story, handouts to guide students, and a full answer key are provided for this activity.
