This lesson provides insight into the contributions of the great Irish scientist ROBERT BOYLE (1627-1691). It includes STUDENT WORKSHEETS, a TEACHER’S GUIDE, and a brief POWER POINT PRESENTATION. Upon completion of this lesson students will have a clearer understanding of Boyle’s Law. Which states that “when the pressure on a gas at constant temperature is increased the volume of the gas decreases. When the pressure is decreased the volume increases.” Boyle’s Law explains the behavior of gases under a variety of physical circumstances. The introductory biography of this great scientist, along with the laboratory worksheets and educator guide included in this download, are a great supplemental recommended for grades 5 through 9.
