Description

TPCASTT is an excellent strategy for teaching Poetry Analysis as early as the Middle School years! With its step by step process, it enables students to consider all of the poetry elements writers use to create meaning in their poetry in a manageable and easy to use guide. No wonder it is recommended by College Board for the AP English Literature and Composition course!

This Slides Presentation includes a step by step (or slide by slide!) guide for explaining and modeling TPCASTT to your students. Each step includes bulleted lists and explanations - as well as frequent helpful hints - to clearly and successfully teach your students how to use this strategy.

The slides also include a helpful model of the strategy using Frances Darwin Cornford's short poem, "The Guitarist Tunes Up". Download as a fully editable Google Slides presentation and make it your own!
