Take Home Lab - Physical Changes - Dissolving & Freezing

This is a fun and engaging way to help students understand how to conduct a lab while learning about physical changes that occur when dissolving a solute into a solvent and how the freezing temperature of water is lowered when a solute is added. Great for distance learning.

This take home lab was built for students to do entirely at home with little to no help from a teacher or adult. However, the lab could be used as an independent inquiry lab in class.

The supplies needed for this lab are ones that most if not all students should have around their homes such as salt, water, containers, measuring cups, etc. There are a few places where items could be substituted out in case a student does not have the exact supply listed.
