Description

Inspiring student-led action begins with teaching the children what action looks like and how best to create an action plan. We want the children to know that action can be as simple as setting goals for your own improvement all the way up to impacting global organisations. These colourful posters are a perfect tool for developing an understanding within your classroom of the ways that we can take action. They tie in wonderfully with the IB PYP, developing the Approaches to Learning skills. The graphic organisers are differentiated, making this resource suitable for grades 1-6. UK and USA spelling included.

You will find inside:

•Being

•Doing

•Having

•Saying

•Feeling

•Thinking

•Differentiated graphic organisers.

You may want to take a look at this other set of action posters here as well. So many choices! :)

You can learn more about developing student-led action in my blog, PYPteachingtools.com.

Enjoy!

The included action plan has been a great organizer for helping some of my students reflect on personal behaviour/action, and has helped them to generate resolutions and actions they can take to improve the various misunderstandings they encounter with their peers. Additionally, the tracker is a great little goal setting tracker that will allow my students to reflect on their action taking progress. However, I see that I will first need to make a similar tracker where we focus on self, classroom and school to assist them in building understanding of action.

This resource is very helpful for students to understand the details of taking action. We use sticky notes to list student action for each unit of inquiry. Admin loved it, too!
