Created by a Speech-Language Pathologist and mother of two, Talking Tots 1 is a speech development class designed to help empower parents to encourage their child's communication skills. Recommended age range for this class is ~15 months-24 months. Talking Tots is a six week class comprised of 6, 45 minute sessions, that highlight a speech strategy each week. Strategies begin with basic foundational skills and continue through a typical developmental progression.
The structure of the class is designed by modeling a strategy for parents and toddlers, then break out into pairs and have parents practice the strategy with their child. Teachers then walk around and provide feedback to families.
Children will love socializing and playing games with fellow toddlers while parents will leave with valuable strategies to encourage their child's language development.
