Description

If you are teaching your students about tally marks and some need a bit more practice then this tally mark practice booklet is for you. This booklet is filled with a variety of activities supporting tally mark work. Learning to make and count tally marks can be a tricky skill to learn. Students need to learn one-to-one correspondence, represent numbers, counting by 5’s and 10’s, grouping, and counting on by ones after skip counting. These booklets have counting and making tally marks, counting objects and making tally marks and a matching tally marks to numbers matching page. Use this booklet in small group or for independent practice in math centers.

Suggestions Use:

Print out the pages, copy onto index or regular paper, laminate, cut, hole punch, and add a ring. Your student will love working in this booklet with a dry erase marker, where they can practice over and over again. You could print out just one or 2 sheets cut in half and use as an exit ticket to check for understanding. My students will even help each other when they are working in their math centers.
