This set with 20 different tangram figures contains lots of bottles with magical potions and other witchy things. Some puzzles are easy to solve, others can be quite challenging.

Playing with tangrams is a great way to learn about polygons and how to compose 2D shapes. They can help students to develop spatial awareness, problem solving skills and fine motor skills. You can use them to introduce or reinforce geometric concepts such as congruence, similarity, symmetry and transformations (slide, turn, flip). They can also be used to challenge students’ creativity by having them create their own original minimalist designs.

There are four ways to replicate the puzzles for easy differentiation:

• Worksheets: Solution & Silhouette The tans (4 inch puzzle pieces) are the same size as the shapes on the worksheets. Students can cover the tangram figures on the worksheets with the tans.
• Task Cards: Solution & Silhouette The shapes on the task cards are smaller than the tans. The intention is to replicate the tangram figure next to the game card.

They are great for:

• Math centers
• Morning work
• Early finishers
• Indoor recess on a rainy day
• Events like family math nights
• Take home kits
