Description
Tap-and-Count Math Strategy is a multisensory approach that uses visual dots on numbers to help students count and solve basic math problems. Numbers 1–5 use single touch points, while numbers 6–9 include both single and double touch points, with circled dots indicating points that are counted twice.
Students touch each point while counting aloud, making addition and subtraction more visual, tactile, and easier to understand. This strategy supports number sense and counting accuracy for early learners and students who benefit from hands-on instruction.
