Description

This printout can be laminated and used as a task schedule. You can either provide tokens (such as a smiley face written with dry erase marker) for each task completed, or you could use velcro to place picture representations of each task individually in each numbered square for those students that require more visual support. Things to consider:

1) Have the student determine what positive reinforcer they are working for prior to beginning the task sequence. Circle the desired reinforcer with dry erase marker and use gestural prompts towards the picture as a reminder for students who easily become off task. This will encourage timely completion of tasks. You can eventually fade out the use of prompts as the student will begin to use the visual reminder in this sequence for themselves.

2) This schedule is great for those students who need clearly defined expectations and struggle to complete academic tasks independently due to non-compliant behaviors. If they have clearly defined things to work for, they are more likely to engage in learning!

3) As the student becomes more proficient with this task schedule, increase the number of tasks needed for completion to receive their reinforcer (the activities listed at the bottom of this schedule). You can purchase the higher level task schedules in my store as they become more independent.
