Description
This set of 6th-grade math task cards is available in both printed and digital Google Slides format. It includes five task cards related to data displays. These task cards are versatile and can be used for various purposes, such as math centers, individual work, small group activities, Response to Intervention (RtI), and review sessions. (I use these task cards in my small groups and RtI class along with Big Ideas Math MRL, 6th Grade.)
This product serves as an extension to Chapter 10: Data Displays which includes notes and homework assignments. You can find the original material through the link provided.
Ch 10: Data Displays, Notes and Homework
Ch 10: Data Displays, Skill Check
Math Mystery Puzzles: Data Displays
*Note: I am in the process of developing task cards for each chapter in my store, as well as additional task cards designed for enrichment and extension purposes.
These are the topics included in this set of task cards.
(1) Stem-and-Leaf Plots
(2) Histograms
(3) Shapes of Distribution
(4) Choosing Appropriate Measures
(5) Box-and-Whisker Plots
Each page contains two sets of identical problems for a specific topic. This arrangement facilitates printing, copying, and cutting the pages into two pieces, providing students with individual worksheets. Laminating these halves ensures durability and allows for multiple years of use.
The problems provided are not solely intended as standalone lessons but can be used in various ways. They are suitable for use in math centers with students, as assignments for those who have completed their work, or as exit slips. While primarily designed for sixth-graders, these problems could also be beneficial for students in the fourth through seventh grades.
