This product includes 16 task cards over solving square root equations. These equations are challenging and would be perfect for a Pre-AP class! In some cases students must clear the fraction before proceeding in order to solve in the most efficient manner. As a result, there is a lot of creativity involved in solving these equations, as they can be approached multiple ways. Students will also need to solve by factoring or quadratic formula as well. Lastly students must check their solutions to determine if any solutions are extraneous.

This product includes a recording sheet for students which has a section for checking their work either by graphing or substitution. Additional instructions and examples are provided for teacher reference. Also all solutions have been worked out and is included as well.

4(F)  solve quadratic and square root equations;

4(G)  identify extraneous solutions of square root equations;
