Description

This task cards set contains 24 task cards to help your students practice division concepts using counters, drawings, and subtraction. There are a variety of multiple choice questions, short answer questions, and problem solving questions.

These task cards ask students to:

-Solve division word problems with pictures provided (scaffolded)

-Solve division word problems without a picture, using counters

-Choose the correct repeated subtraction sentence that would solve a division word problem

-Use repeated subtraction to solve a division problem (both word problems and given division sentences)

-Draw a picture and write a division sentence to solve a word problem

There is a blank recording sheet provided for your students to record their answers. There is also an answer key which can be used by teachers or students to check work. The answer key is formatted exactly the same as the recording sheet to make grading quick and easy.

Ideas for use:

Task cards are great for use with guided math groups, at math centers, as at home activities, for early finishers, or for differentiating in 3rd and 5th grades. You might also find them to be useful as a supplement to those math lessons which have fewer practice problems than others. I love the idea of pulling a few cards here and there from previous used sets of cards to review and keep concepts fresh! Just assign a problem to a group or the whole class.

Note: This set is also included in my Operations and Algebraic Thinking bundle. Click on the link below to view the 260 card bundle.
