Description
The Common Core strategies are not traditional algorithms. Concrete models, pictorial representations, and number lines are used to solve problems. This will enable students to gain a conceptual knowledge of skills. It is important that you use these strategies first, before you teach algorithms.
I have included teacher tutorial video lessons for each standard that will demonstrate to you (the teacher) how to do the strategies. These videos are for you only (about 5 minutes each). Do not use them for the students.
