Description
Do you have students that think it is a good idea to go off and watch YouTube videos while you're teaching class? What about students that think it is perfectly acceptable to hop on over to ESPN while you're teaching about... well, anything?
This slide show is for you.
I've been there. If your school is smaller and not well-funded enough to have a 1:1 environment or have GoGuardian (or similar) this may be just what you need to keep students on the straight and narrow.
This Google Slides presentation is geared towards students in Grades 5 and up. In the presentation, I have articles and websites that show how prevalent computer monitoring is in both the workplace and in schools and what kinds of things schools and businesses are allowed to track. It is a good scare-you-with-reality presentation that will hopefully jumpstart your students into behaving better online when there is the distraction of a device in front of them. This is also a good presentation to bookend a discussion on digital ethics and your digitial footprint.
