Description
What time is it, Lucky?
Children can learn to tell the time and learn about daily routines with this deck. (Note: I opted NOT to make a video this time so you can choose to teach the aspects you want by turning on/off the lesson and quiz cards as you need.)
The first card explains that they need to click on the audio to hear Lucky. The next eight cards explain aspects of telling the time in English. Next, a card explains that they need to click on the speakers and choose an answer; then they test their knowledge using the last 12 cards. Each slide includes audio. There are over 30 different audio files.
The lesson covers:
o'clock
past and to
half past
a.m. and p.m.
noon and midnight
Other vocabulary includes breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, nap, good morning, and good night. And of course, children learn the question, "What time is it?" which is on each card.
If you aren't familiar with Boom Cards, you are in for a treat!
To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires.
For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you'll need a premium account.
