Description

Here's fun way to practice addition and add some creativity to the activity! Students get to cut out and color the watermelon and the seeds. Students choose how many seeds to place on their watermelon. Students will need to glue the ten frame on the watermelon along with the colored seeds!

Students will fill out the addition sheet.

The seeds and watermelon can be printed on colored paper or students can color the seeds & watermelon themselves.

HOW TO USE:

  • Craft
  • Bulletin Board Display
  • Center Activity- the teacher will print off the watermelons with ten frame on the watermelon, then print off seeds and color them or print on colored paper two different sets with different colors. Students then show different ways to make numbers on the ten frame.

This would make a great bulletin board display for spring or summer!

My students have so much fun with this summer activity. I display it in May and it gives us some fun educational stuff to do when students seem to be checked out.
