Teaching style

I believe students learn best in classrooms where they feel safe, challenged, and valued. My teaching philosophy combines strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful learning experiences that encourage students to think deeply rather than simply memorize procedures. Many of my resources focus on: • Student independence and executive functioning • Differentiation for diverse learners • Building mathematical reasoning and problem solving • Trauma-sensitive and inclusive classroom practices • Reducing overwhelm for both teachers and students My goal is to create resources that help teachers build calm, engaging, and thinking-rich classrooms where all learners can thrive.

The name Tranquility in Teaching reflects what I strive to create in every classroom: a learning environment where students feel supported, teachers feel empowered, and meaningful learning can flourish. After more than 20 years in education, I understand the realities teachers face every day. Time is limited, student needs are complex, and finding high-quality resources can be overwhelming. That's why I create classroom-tested materials that simplify planning while maintaining high levels of student engagement and rigor. You will find resources focused on executive functioning, differentiation, student independence, mathematical thinking, literacy development, and inclusive instructional practices. Every resource is designed with the same goal: helping teachers create calm, effective classrooms where students can do their best thinking and learning.
