Description

This is a test tracking tool for teachers and/or students to use to monitor progress throughout the year. You can have students attach it to their interactive notebook and have them color in the "bar" to their grades on tests, benchmarks or even quizzes. It will create a bar graph charting their progress throughout the year. This can also be used by teachers or faculty to monitor students especially for RTI, SPED and at-risk students. It starts with plotting their scores from the 4th grade STAAR test and the rest is blank for the student or teacher to fill in as needed with the appropriate test/benchmark/quiz name. It allows viewers to see if their current performance meets standard or advanced level. It is an Excel document, so it is editable to suit your own preferences. The 4th grade raw score that you plot is according to the 4th grade TEA requirement of meeting standard and advanced placement. The grades for the rest of the year reflect the TEA's passing standard for the 5th grade STAAR test. Although the passing rate may change due to TEA trying to get the passing rate to their original recommended levels. So on the tracker "satisfactory" is at 50%, but based on TEA's most current conversion table, the actual passing rate is at 48%. I am hoping that this helps to account for the fact that the bar might be raised at some point during the year.
