Great resource to use for students that are taking standardized tests! The first document is used for ELA. The checklist for each question makes sure the student rereads the question, crosses off the choices that do not make sense, and has them note where they found their answer choice in the reading. The second document is used for math assessments. Students should show their work in each box to ensure they tried every problem. For me personally, I ask what reward they would like before they take the test. I have them write it on the line at the top as a reminder of what they are working for. If the charts are completely filled out for each question when the test is over, they have earned their prize! This is a great motivating tool that makes sure the students are doing everything they can to work towards the right answer.
