Text Based Writing - Argumentative

In this product, you will find:

  • Three non-fiction articles about the disease that is killing bats, White Nose Syndrome (900-980L) *all articles have been found online from free sources*
  • Prompt
  • Pre-write template

This product was created to prepare students for the new, rigorous state standardized test – specifically in Indiana (ILEARN). I created this product to challenge students to analyze multiple sources as they are asked to complete a writing performance task. The performance task will require students to write an argumentative essay and their stance of the prompt- Should scientists keep searching for a cure to White Nose Syndrome, or should scientists create an alternative plan once these bat species die off?
