What teachers have said about this resource:

"Best task cards I have found yet. I bought all of your sets and love the versatility of them. I have two lab classes for my intervention students, one is 6th grade and the other is a mix of 7th and 8th. I love that these cards are large, they match standards, they are similar to the questions they will see on our district tests, and the students love the practice. I like to get my kids as prepared as possible for testing since a lot of them have anxiety over the complexity of the questions at time and these cards allowed me to better prepare them."

"I love the excerpts for actual books for my students to practice these skills, it also introduces them to books some want to read."

"Such a great resource for students! I've used it for small group tutorials and as a workstation. Thank you."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Text Evidence Practice for Middle School
Rated 5 out of 5
March 7, 2026
These Text Evidence Task Cards are a go‑to resource for strengthening reading comprehension in grades 6–8! The passages and prompts are high‑interest and clearly written, and they really help students practice finding and citing evidence to support their thinking — a skill that’s essential for deep, standards‑aligned reading. I love how versatile these are: they work beautifully for whole‑class instruction, small groups, independent practice, literacy centers, or homework. Students can work at their own pace, and the variety keeps them engaged rather than bored. The included worksheets also make it easy to assess understanding in written form. Highly recommend this for any ELA classroom looking to build true text evidence skills with ready‑to‑use materials! ??✏️
