These 24 task cards will allow students to practice non-fiction reading passages and identify the types of text structure.
The five text structures are: description, comparison-contrast, problem-solution, cause-effect, and chronological order.
An answer key is provided.
This activity is great for classroom scavenger hunts, games, learning stations and whole class practice through use of a document camera. Furthermore, task cards are good to use when you need to fill in extra time between lessons.
On 5/8/16, I uploaded a revised file to replace the older version of Text Structure Task Cards Non-Fiction. The change is mostly cosmetic. The cards are cuter than the older version with added clip art. An extra card was added to make a total of 24 cards.
