Description
This engaging project will help your students understand text structures, make connections, practice paraphrasing and explore transitions! They will read an abridged "Kids Who Changed the World" article originally posted on the Good Housekeeping website (included). Then, they will select five kids from the article and analyze the text structures used by the author. Finally, they will choose three of these inspiring kids and create an infographic poster, using different text structures along with paraphrasing. This activity usually takes about 1.5 weeks in my 7th grade classroom and I have provided you everything you need! Use as is, or customize! Included are the directions, interactive article, support slides, lecture on text structures, rubric, checklist and graphic organizer!
